Anthony Caro 1924-2013
With corrections by Henry Moore
55.7 x 38.7 cm
In common with Seated Woman (1951/52), this piece was sketched at a life drawing class at the Royal Academy. Moore’s corrections are once more clearly visible as it was also completed during the time Caro spent at Much Hadham. Caro observed how ‘I learned more in the two years I was there than in the five years I spent at the Royal Academy Schools’.
